HealthOne Information for Internet Explorer Users

The HealthOne Product Team would like to advise users that support for older versions of Internet Explorer (IE8/9/10) will be phased out in the near future. This will eventually impact your ability to access HealthOne when using computers with these older Internet Explorer versions.

Why is this happening?

  • Microsoft support for older versions of Internet Explorer ended on January 12th, 2016 (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/WindowsForBusiness/End-of-IE-support)
  • Only the most current version of Internet Explorer available for a supported operating system (O/S) will receive technical support and security updates.
  • Regular security updates help protect computers and users from malicious attacks, malware, viruses and spyware so upgrading and staying current is very important.
What does this mean for your pharmacy?
  • Action should be taken to upgrade HealthOne computers running unsupported operating systems or browser versions.
  • System-wide Health applications, such as HealthOne, require current browser technology on which to run. In the near future, the ability to access via older browsers will be removed at the vendor’s discretion.
  • Upgrading will also ensure your pharmacy remains compliant with national health information security policies & network access requirements.

The HealthOne Product Team can provide support relating to straight forward questions or IE upgrades via the Service Desk however more complex issues, including Operating System upgrades, would need to be directed to your local IT Support person.
